Introducing the Money Clarity Project Publication
(Initial published on Medium.com, 26-Dec-2025)
A New Medium Publication to Bring Clarity to Personal Finance
For many families, money isn’t just math — it’s uncertainty, stress, competing priorities, and the sense that you should have everything figured out by now. After retiring from a 30-plus year engineering career built on planning, analysis, and practical problem-solving, I realized that the same structured thinking that guided major projects could help families bring more clarity to their financial lives.
I’m excited to announce the launch of my new Medium publication, Money Clarity Project, a publication dedicated to personal finance for busy families, couples preparing for retirement, and anyone navigating the financial crossroads of mid-life and beyond.
By sharing more information, we all learn more together.
Why Money Clarity Project?
I created this publication for people who want:
- Straightforward, practical guidance
- Information and insights to learn how to make decisions for themselves, not a shortcut or ‘hack’ to answer their questions.
- Help making better financial decisions at key life stages
- Less stress around money — and more confidence
Whether you are raising school-age kids, supporting children in college, helping adult children get established, or planning for retirement, each stage brings its own financial challenges. The goal of Money Clarity Project is to help you be more informed to make those challenges more manageable.
What You’ll Find in the Publication
The publication will feature articles on:
- Budgeting and cash-flow planning for families
- High-income household financial strategies
- Retirement preparation and real-life expense planning
- College planning and funding decisions
- Lifestyle choices that shape long-term financial health
- Personal finance lessons learned through real experience
- Practical checklists, templates, and frameworks
Expect clear explanations, step-by-step guidance, and recommendations grounded in real numbers — not theory.
Why This Matters to Me
My journey into writing began as a way to validate my own retirement planning. Over time, it became clear that many others were struggling with the same questions I’d spent years analyzing:
- What will be net worth be in ten years? 20 years? Longer?
- What will my expenses really look like after 65?
- How do I prepare financially when my kids hit major milestones?
- What’s the best way to simplify my money system so it all works together?
After managing my family’s personal finances successfully for nearly 30 years, the Money Clarity Project felt like the natural next step — an organized, accessible space for families to get the guidance they’ve been missing.
What’s Next
I plan to publish articles covering perennial and seasonal topics (like holiday spending), major family decisions, and longer-term planning frameworks.
My publishing frequency will be based on when I feel there’s something relevant to share, not to meet a quota or feed the algorithm.
If you’re interested in personal finance that’s practical, calm, and grounded in real-world experience, I’d love for you to follow along.
