Hi there!

My name is Jeff Goetz. I retired from 32+ years of engineering as of end-2023. I started a new chapter as stay-at-home dad and I’m soon to be an empty nester. I am pursuing my interests as an author and photographer. Overall, I write about topics or questions that interest me.

My Mission

I manage my family’s personal finances and am focused on early retirement finances and budgeting. Now, I’m sharing what worked and what I’ve learned.

After decades of managing family finances, investing, and preparing for retirement, funding college expenses, and navigating life’s major financial decisions, I realized that financial success is usually less about complexity and more about clarity.

I chose Money Clarity Project as the title for my efforts and my Medium publication. It sums up my intentions and objectives of my finance-related efforts. As an engineer, I worked on major capital projects, Money Clarity Project is one of my next projects!

For me, personal finance and general financial literacy are not as well understood as they should be. It’s sad that it’s not taught and emphasized more in school programs.

It’s a topic I’m interested in, so I write articles to share what I’ve learned or experienced so others might benefit. This is a crowded area on the internet with lots of information, so my overall tip is always “Read, learn, verify, and know what’s appropriate for you” – life is not a one-size-fits-all. We are all different.

Perhaps the articles will offer some information or perspective that others may appreciate, or their comments will clarify/correct me, so we all learn a bit more.

I’m enjoying the journey and I hope you are too.

Enjoy Life & Thanks for reading,

-Jeff Goetz
